Like the head support and torso strap, the height of the straps is adjustable (see fig. 7).
These straps can also be used to hold and guide the thighs when necessary.
5.3 Storage

6 Preparing the product for use
6.1 Installation
INFORMATION
The bathing support is easy and straightforward to adjust when dry.
INFORMATION
The bathing support can be set to a sitting (see fig. 8) or reclining (see fig. 9) position.
While the position (see fig. 10) is adjustable, the bathing support may rock if the child makes sudden movements
(e.g. due to abrupt spasticity, seizures, athetosis). This can make the child feel insecure, and he or she can slide
out if not secured.
1) Stabilise the bathing support by placing the head section against your abdomen or chest, and face the foot
section away from your body (or the other way around) (see fig. 11). You can use your upper body to make the
adjustment and handling easier.
INFORMATION: The adjustment position (see fig. 12) requires too much strength and arm length, and
is not recommended.
2) Adjust the reclining position using the ratchet joints (see fig. 13). Push the press button to move the joint (see
fig. 14). The joint engages in the desired position after the press button is released.
3) Position the individual sections of the bathing support relative to each other with the ratchet joints A, B, C and
D (see fig. 15). To make an adjustment, press and hold both ratchet joints across from each other at the same
time during the adjustment (see fig. 16).
INFORMATION: We recommend using the balls of your thumbs to press the buttons. At the same time,
use your fingers (particularly the index and middle fingers) to hold the respective section of the
bathing support and move it to the desired position. Once the desired position is reached, release the
press buttons on the joints. The joints then engage automatically.
6.2 Settings
Adjusting the head section
1) Use the ratchet joints D (see fig. 15) to fold the head section back so you can move the head to the desired
position (see fig. 17).
2)
Option:
The fabric cover can also be pulled off the head section. The child’s head is completely unsupported
in this case and should be held by the attendant in case of poor head control (see fig. 18).
INFORMATION: In case of severe hyperextension of the head, the head section can also be adjusted
forward to reduce the excessive muscle tension in conjunction with a more pronounced hip flexion
setting.
3) Adjust the lateral head supports to the correct width: Lift the outer end of the pad you want to adjust and slide
the pad to the desired position (see fig. 19). Then fasten the pad to the guide straps again by pressing and
securing the hook-and-loop closures. Proceed the same way with the second pad.
4) After setting the head support to the correct height, secure it with the lengthwise straps on the cover fabric
(see fig. 20).
Adjusting the length of the back section
1) Use an Allen key to loosen the two screws in the adjustment holes on the side of the back section (see fig. 21).
2) Loosen the hook-and-loop closure of the two overlapping fabric sections in the pelvis area of the back support
(see fig. 22).
3) Pull up on the head section while holding the seat section with the other hand until the desired position is
reached.
4) Reinstall the two screws in the same hole on the respective side and tighten them (see fig. 23).
5) Pull the two fabric sections back over each other so they are tight and connect them with the hook-and-loop
closure (see fig. 24).
