1 Application
English
The 1A29 Greissinger plus is exclusively used for prostheses of crustacean
design for all amputation levels.
2 Description and Function
This prosthetic foot combines the proven functional capabilities of the Greis-
singer ankle with a new flexible keel foot. The integral ankle block combined
with the internal elastomeric connections permits multi-axial ankle move-
ment.
Plantar flexion following heel contact is controlled by compression of the
ring-shaped rocking rubber, which also provides elastic dorsiflexion limit in
the late stance phase. Controlled inversion, eversion, internal rotation, and
external rotation are also provided by this mechanism.
3 Alignment Recommendation
Mid-foot 10–20 mm anterior to the weight bearing line
Heel height 10 mm, plus 10 mm
4 Replacing the Rocking Rubber
The 1A29 Greissinger plus includes a medium Rocking Rubber (2S2). Both
a lower durometer (2S15) and a higher durometer (2S19) Rocking Rubber
are also available. To replace the rocking rubber, unscrew the 17 mm hexa-
gon nut on the plantar surface of the foot and remove the ankle assembly.
After installing the desired rocking rubber, the hexagon nut must be torqued
to 30 Nm/22.1 ft.lbs./265.4 in.lbs. using the 710D4 Torque Wrench (with
701K5 and 710Y6=17) or equivalent.
