Lamination aid screwed in. It covers the M36×1.5 connection threads
during the casting process.
3) Fill openings in the vicinity of the cylinder head screw with 636K8
Plastaband.
5.3.2 Laminating instructions
5.3.2.1 Laminating a thigh socket
INFORMATION
The
4X46 lamination aid must be screwed in while laminating. First the
clamping pre-tension must be increased using the cylinder head screw
to the point where the threaded part can still be screwed in and out.
Once the pre-tension is set in this manner, the threaded part is replaced
with the lamination aid.
After laminating,
unscrew the lamination aid and install the threaded part.
The following instructions describe how a thigh socket is made
(applies
to 4WR95=1 and 4WR95=2):
1) Pull the soaked 99B81 PVA bag over the model.
2) Place one layer of 616G6 Dacron and thin out fibres along the edge.
3) Pull on 2 layers of 623T3 Perlon Stockinette.
4) Place 3 layers of 616G12 carbon fibre mesh (e.g. 15 x 15 cm), offset
on the distal end of the residual limb.
5) Pull on 2 layers of 623T3 Perlon Stockinette.
6) Pull on soaked 99B81 PVA bag.
7) Perform casting process using 617H55 C-Orthocryl®.
8) Allow to harden.
9) Remove PVA bag once fully hardened.
10) Observing the information (see chapter 5.1), prepare the lamination
anchor and position it on the end of the socket as required for proper
alignment.
11) Fix lamination anchor in place using a sealing resin / talcum powder
mixture (reinforce).
