6 Preparing the product for use
INFORMATION
Installation directly on the wheelchair side panel is described in the follow
ing. For installation with a swivel unit, please observe all information in the
corresponding instructions for use.
The modular forearm support is mounted on a wheelchair side panel (wheel
chair tube or arm pad carrier) (see fig. 1).
1) Select the appropriate screws (items 3–7) for the wheelchair side panel.
2) Insert the two nuts (item 2) into the slide rail on the underside of the
modular forearm support.
3) Set the modular forearm support (item 1) onto the top of the wheelchair
side panel.
INFORMATION: The flat end of the modular forearm support has to
point forward in the direction of travel.
4) Insert the two screws from the bottom through the wheelchair side panel
into the nuts (item 2).
5) Slide the modular forearm support to the desired position and firmly
tighten the two screws.
6) Check that the modular forearm support is securely attached.
7 Use
7.1 Using the product
The qualified personnel has already installed the forearm support and adap
ted it to the requirements of the user.
Before using the product, verify that it is securely mounted and in an ergo
nomically correct position. Inform the qualified personnel if corrections are
required.
7.2 Use in vehicles for transporting persons with reduced mobility
