4 Handling
INFORMATION
► The daily duration of use and period of application are generally deter­
mined by the physician.
►
The initial fitting and application of the product must be carried out by
qualified personnel.
► Instruct the patient in the handling and care of the product.
► Instruct the patient to see a physician immediately if any exceptional
changes are noted (e.g. worsening of the complaint).
4.1 Selecting the Size
1) Measure the wrist circumference.
2) Determine the size of the support (see size chart).
4.2 Adaptation
> Open all hook-and-loop closures.
1) Insert the plastic bar into the support.
2) Fill the bag with hot water (approx.
75 °C
) and heat the plastic bar until it
can be shaped.
3) Once the support has cooled slightly, pull it over the wrist, placing the
loop over the thumb.
4) Fasten all hook-and-loop closures.
