3.1.1.2 Completion of a Flexible Inner Socket with Carbon Frame
The enclosed lamination dummy (6) provides for the space required for the
upper screw ring in the laminated socket.
• After vacuum forming of the definitive inner socket of ThermoLyn®, grind
away the material covering the vacuum forming dummy until it is flush (Fig.4).
• Remove the 503S3 Screw.
• Put the lamination dummy onto the vacuum forming dummy and secure
with the enclosed countersunk head screw (Fig. 8). The 5Z1 Lamination
Kit with the aid of the Technical Information 2.3.5 or the 5Z4 Lamination
Kit for CAT-CAM can be used for reinforcement of the frame.
• After laminating, grind away the material covering the lamination dummy
until it is flush and remove the countersunk head screw.
• Remove the carbon frame with inner socket from the plaster positive.
• Disassemble the valve and apply 617H46 Bonding Agent to the contact
surface of the lower screw ring if need be (Fig. 5). Position the lower
screw ring in the socket (Fig. 6). Tighten the upper screw ring. The pin
wrench can be used for tightening the lower and upper screw rings (Fig. 7).
• Position the flexible inner socket in the carbon frame. Make sure that the
valve upper part can be easily installed into and removed from the valve
base part. Remove more excessive material if necessary.
3.1.2 Installation Preparation for Laminated Sockets
The enclosed vacuum forming dummy provides for that the lower screw
ring is flush with the inner side of the socket.
• Pull 99B25 Nylon Stockinette over the plaster positive.
• Secure the vacuum forming dummy to the plaster positive with the en-
closed 503S3 Screw (Fig.3).
• Pull 99B81 PVA Bag over the plaster positive and reinforce the laminated
socket adequately.
3.1.2.1 Completion of a Laminated Socket without Flexible Inner Socket
• After laminating the lamination resin socket, grind away the material
covering the vacuum forming dummy until it is flush.
• Remove the 503S3 Screw and vacuum forming dummy.
• Disassemble the valve and apply 617H46 Bonding Agent to the contact
surface of the lower screw ring if need be (Fig. 5). Position the lower
