C.1 HyperTerminal Setup
1.
After starting Windows, click on the Start button.
2.
Select Programs>Accessories>Communications>Hyperterminal.
3.
Enter a name and choose an icon for the application and click
OK
.
4.
Select the COM port and click
OK
. Set the communication in a 19200/8/N/Xon-Xoff
format.
5.
Configure HyperTerminal so the functions, arrows, and
Ctrl
keys act as terminal keys,
not window keys. Select the ANSI terminal emulation. File>Properties>Settings.
6.
Use

to communicate with or recover information from the multiprobe.

You will be prompted for a file name and a path.

Turn the printer on.

Upload a file and choose the transfer protocol (e.g. Xmodem). You will be prompted
for a file name and a path.
Transfer: Receive File
Download a file and choose the transfer protocol (e.g. Xmodem). You will be
prompted for a file name and a path.
File: Open
To view a file or find a saved file in the HyperTerminal folder.
