Overall loudness trimmer
After establishing feedback limits, use this control to get a
quick, acceptance of loudness in the initial fitting session. The
Overall Loudness Trimmer (OLT) changes both gain and MPO to
protect speech intelligibility.
When cl or – both gain and MPO are adjusted in 2 dB
increments up to +10/-10 dB maximum (provided there are
no feedback limitations). The OLT steps are reversible, which
means that returning to a previous step will restore all values
to what they were previously.
Loudness is adjusted across identities and between programs
when using the same rationale in all programs.
Finetuning the fitting controls and MPO
By clicking the <> each or all of the three regions (LF, MF and
HF) can be expanded to display all the underlying frequency
channels.
MPO is displayed in dBHL while gain is displayed in dB (IG).
Reserve gain
The VC
Reserve Gain
displays the volume range between the
preferred level and the instrument’s possible maximum gain in
the range of 0-10 dB, at 2.5 dB steps. To modify the Reserve
Gain, adjust the instrument’s gain or change the feedback
limit.
The volume control ranges 30 dB: -20 dB to m 10 dB
from the preferred level. VC wheel setting “3” represents the
preferred level.
compression Ratios
Click on the ‘CR’ button between the right and left graphs to
check the compression ratio.
Program Manager
In the Program Manager you can activate, configure, delete, and
change the order of the programs. For general programs you
can choose between the dSesp, nAL-nL1, dSL v5.0a (adult or
paediatric) and nAL-RP fitting rationales. Two phone programs
exist, a combined Microphone/Telecoil (M/T) or telecoil (T). You
choose whether you want to activate the phone program on the
left or right ear.
By default a copy of P1 with reduced microphone levels will be
placed in the other instrument.
You can activate the
Auto Phone
functionality in the lower
right corner. You do not have to add a Phone program in P2 –
P4 when using AutoPhone. You can choose whether the pro-
gram should be a combined Microphone/Telecoil or a Telecoil
program. This program
is configured either here or in the end Fitting Step.
Chili instruments are compatible with dAI and FM shoes.
When the shoe is attached to the instrument, the user will
automatically have access to two extra programs:
• dAI/ FM + Microphone (default) and
• dAI/FM only.
The two programs are based on the settings in P1.
Any adjustments are handled in the end Fitting step.
