First you need to turn off your cold water supply and drain down by turning on the taps. If you are
unsure, then get a qualified plumber of handyperson to come in and do the job.
The in and out fittings are 15 mm ‘push fit’ fittings so ensure that you use push any 15 mm (copper
or plastic/speedfit) pipe. You need to cut your cold water 15mm copper pipe and place the filter
into the gap - so that it sits "in-line".
It is recommended to fit a small length (about 6-10cm) of copper pipe to fit to the compression
fitting on a flexible hose as shown below.
This makes filter changes much easier.
The unit comes partially assembled in order to give you flexibility for installation (i.e. which way
around the inlet & outlet ports go so you can mount the bracket either way.
After you determine this, you can fit the bracket to the housing heads using the stainless steel
screws provided whoever way round you prefer.
The 15mm push fittings need to be screwed into the inlet and outlet ports and gently tightened
with a spanner.
The copper pipe then needs to be pushed into the black 15mm push fittings. Ensure they are in
completely and firmly, you should feel them slide into place if done correctly.
