Transport and handling
2.2. Transport using a crane
For transport using a crane, the gas tank must be robust
enough for lifting the special distribution transformer by
means of the lifting eye bolts. The following indications
must be taken into account when lifting the special
distribution transformer:
The slings on the eye bolts must form a minimum angle of
60º with the special distribution transformer’s horizontal.
The slings must not rub or damage the bushings or other
accessories of the special distribution transformer.
Danger of death by crushing and damage to
the special distribution transformer or to the
installation.
•
Use the eye bolts in the special distribution
transformer cover to lift it with a crane, maintaining a
horizontal position at all times.
• If the weight of the special distribution transformer
requires the lifting eye bolts to be located in the tank,
they will be duly identifi ed with a diff erent colour.
• Avoid causing damage to the elements on the special
distribution transformer cover. Use proper hooks to
achieve a perfectly vertical elevation.
•
Never
use the cooling elements of the special
distribution transformer, such as fi ns or radiators, as
lifting elements.
Risk
of severe injury and damage to
the machine.
