Bilingual program indication
It will be displayed for approx. 4
seconds when bilingual pro-
grams are being received.
In case of bilingual program, you can select the desired
sound with AUDIO. Each time you press AUDIO, the
CANAL IZQ and CANAL DER alternate with each other.
Playback (COMBI 1415X / COMBI 2115 SI)
Use AUDIO to select under stereo/mono or bilingual
playback. See the table below for more information.

COMBI 2115 SI is capable of recording sound in Hi-Fi
system. The recording will be performed automatically.
NICAM STEREO broadcasts are recorded in its original
sound system regardless of the setting. If you wish to
record NICAM programmes, select NICAM "AUTO" as
follows.
And, COMBI 2115 SI can also receive and record
German A2 stereo program. The tape recording is
always both in HiFi and in MONO on the standard
longitudinal track. In case of bilingual TV programs
always the two audio channels will be recorded.
Important:
Since COMBI 1415X does not have a stereo-tuner,
it can not receive and record the NICAM or German
A2 stereo program. COMBI 1415X only can playback
a Hi-Fi cassette tape.

NICAM programmes are divided into 4 types as
shown below.
NICAM STEREO broadcast
"NICAM ST" illuminates when a
NICAM STEREO broadcast sig-
nal is received.
NICAM MONO A broadcast
"NICAM M1" illuminates when a
NICAM MONO A broadcast sig-
nal is received.
NICAM MONO A B broadcast
"NICAM M1/2" illuminates when
a NICAM MONO A and MONO B
broadcast signal is received.
NICAM OFF
It will be displayed for the NICAM
signal when the "NICAM [OFF]"
is selected in menu screen.
NICAM OFF
Hi-Fi signal indication: (COMBI 1415X / COMBI 2115 SI)
Press info (CALL).
It will be displayed for approx.
4 seconds when playing HiFi
video cassette tapes.
Note:
When playing HiFi cassette tapes recorded on another
VCR, the sound output may be distorted. This is normal and
no indication of a unit malfunction. Try to minimize sound
distortions by using TRK(TRACKING) +/– or change to
MONO by pressing of AUDIO.
