The 12V DC Power Adapter converts
the 12V DC input to a 7.4V output to
the camera.
Connect the 12V DC Power Adapter
as follows:
1. If you are using the 21128 or
21129 models, which include the
DR-E5 and DR-E8 DC coupler
(labeled on the coupler itself),
respectively, plug the right-angle
mini plug of the coupler cable into
the hole in the coupler (see
Figure 1). If you are using the 21127 or 21130
models, with their DR-E6 and DR-400 couplers, respectively, the coupler
cable is permanently attached to the DC coupler from the factory (
Figure 2).
2. Insert the correct DC coupler into the empty battery compartment of your
camera.
3. Now connect the other end of the coupler cable to the output cable of the
12V power adapter.
4. Lastly, connect the power adapter’s cigarette lighter plug to your 12V field
battery. The power indicator light on the adapter body should illuminate.
5. Turn on your camera and start shooting pictures!
When finished, first turn off you camera, then unplug the cigarette lighter plug
from the 12V battery. Finally, remove the DC coupler from your camera’s battery
compartment.
