About luminous light
Some watches have luminous hands and dials.
The luminosity is produced by a luminous paint (a paint that stores light
and emits it) and is harmless; no radioactive substances are contained.
The paint stores light-beam energy such as that from the sun and lighting
equipment, and produces light by itself. As the emitted light comes from
stored light energy, the luminance (brightness level) will weaken over time.
The intensity and duration of luminance, which depend on the amount of
light energy stored, will vary according to the watch glass shape, paint
thickness, ambient brightness, distance between the watch and light
source, and degree of light beam absorption. Please note that if
insufficient light energy is stored, the intensity of luminance will be weak,
or the duration of luminance may be short.
