Turn the Power Head over. With baseplate facing up, remove the 5 recessed Philips screws. Once

removed, turn over the baseplate to see the Edge Brushes, each secured with a single screw. Remove

both Edge Brushes and replace with the new ones. Refit baseplate.

WARNING:

Unplug Power Cord from electrical socket before servicing.

To determine if the brushroll is worn, place a firm object with a straight edge across the opening

in the base of the vacuum. If the brushroll bristles do not extend evenly beyond the baseplate and

touch the straight object then the brushroll should be adjusted.

Remove the baseplate by removing 5 Philips screws and then remove the belt and brushroll

from the Housing.

Note:

.

To adjust the brushroll, rotate the ends of each brushroll so that the ‘OLD’ setting is uppermost (19).

The ‘OLD’ setting is smooth and has no grooves along the edge. The ‘NEW’ setting has several

grooves along the edge (18) and on a new brushroll this should be facing uppermost.

Refit the belt.
Refit the baseplate.
If a previous adjustment has already been made and bristle height does not extend above the

baseplate, a new brush assembly should be ordered or a Service Kit (SERKIT35G).
