INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Begin with your loupes or eye wear fully and properly seated on your face.
2. Grasp either the left or right “Grasping Tab” and with the EASE-IN-SHIELDS
™
facing forward, gently “ease” them into a comfortable and effective
position between your eye wear and your face. (Some people find a mirror to be helpful the first time they insert the shield)
• Initially, you may have to manipulate the EASE-IN-SHIELDS on your face and the frame until you learn how to get the best fit for your
situation. Once you know how they fit you best, you will be able to install and remove them quickly and easily.
• DO NOT force the shield into place, but be prepared to slightly change the angulation (either toward or away from the cheek), loosen your loupes
slightly, or redirect headlight wires in order to obtain your optimal fit, free of obstacles.
• Most users will find that the “Grasping Tabs” rest upon the top of their eye wear frame. However, depending on facial structure, for some
individuals, the Grasping Tabs will be suspended ABOVE the frame of the eye wear, with the lower border of the shield resting on the cheek.
This is perfectly normal and is of no concern AS LONG AS as the eyes are COMPLETELY covered or protected from the laser beam.
• An optional head strap is provided should you choose to wear the EASE-IN-SHIELDS independently from loupes or other eye wear.
CLEANING AND DISINFECTING:
Clean as needed using the lint-free cleaning cloth provided. If needed, use warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly with clean water. Dry with
a clean lint-free cleaning cloth. Use cold sterilization techniques as necessary. DO NOT use heat sterilization or abrasive cleaning products, as
these can damage the shield. For best protection, store your EASE-IN-SHIELDS in the protective case provided when not in use.
WARRANTY:
Metrex Research LLC, on behalf of its Orascoptic
™
divisions (Metrex) provides a limited 12-month warranty on EASE-IN-SHIELDS (the “Product”).
Under this warranty, Metrex warrants that the Product will be free of defects in material and workmanship, and perform in accordance with
manufacturer’s specifications, when subject to normal use. The warranty period begins on the original date of purchase from Metrex.
This warranty is limited to manufacturer’s defect, and does not cover breakage or failure due to tampering, misuse, neglect, accidents, improper
installation, modification, shipping, normal wear and tear, or to improper maintenance or cleaning procedures. This warranty is non-transferable
and shall only apply to the original purchaser of the Product, as exclusively contained in Metrex’s records.
