Power down the server. In the Actions section of the Summary Information page,
click the Power State Turn Off button.
This action powers off the server to Standby power mode. For more power off options, see
“Powering Down the Server” on page 111
.

In the Actions section of the Summary Information page, click the Locator
Indicator Turn On button.
This action activates the Locate Button/LED indicator LED on the server front panel. For other
options, see
“Managing the Locate Button/LED” on page 120
.

Click OK.

Once at the service location, press the Locate Button/LED button to deactivate
the indicator.

Prepare the Server for Cold Service (Oracle ILOM
CLI)
This procedure describes how to prepare the server for cold service when you remove, replace,
or install cold-serviceable components. A cold-service component must be serviced when
the server is completely powered off and AC cords have been removed from the back panel
AC power block. For more information about component serviceability, see
