Turn On the Locate Button/LED Remotely (Oracle ILOM Web Interface)

shows the status as either

Off

Turn On the Locate Button/LED Remotely (Oracle

ILOM Web Interface)

Before going to the server, you can activate the server Locate Button/LED indicator to help you

identify the server in the rack.

Log in to the service processor Oracle ILOM web interface.

To log in, open a web browser and direct it using the IP address of the server SP. Log in as

root or a user with administrator privileges. See

“Using Oracle ILOM” in

Oracle Server X7-8

Installation Guide

The Summary Information page appears.

In the Actions section, verify that the Locate Button/LED indicator is off, and

then click the Turn On button.

Click OK.

The Locator indicator on the Summary Information page changes to indicate the status of the

Locate Button/LED indicator.

Control the Locate Button/LED Locally

If you are physically present at the server, use this procedure to turn off or to turn on the Locate

Button/LED indicator.
