Powering Off the Server for Immediate Shutdown

Powering Off the Server for Immediate Shutdown

Use the procedures in one of the following sections to perform an immediate shutdown.

Caution - 

Possible data loss. The immediate shutdown method will cause any unsaved data on

the server to be lost.

Note - 

To completely power off the server, you must disconnect the power cords from the back

panel of the server.

Use the Power Button for Immediate Shutdown

1.

Press and hold down the Power button until the main power shuts off.

You need to hold down the power button for several seconds. The server powers down to

standby power mode. The system OK indicator blinks in standby power mode.
