Connect the SAS and power cables to the tape drive and plug the other end of the power cable into the power outlet,

as shown below.

Reboot the server

Switch on the tape drive and power up the server. The power on/off switch is on the front panel.

Watch the boot screen carefully after installation. If there are any errors or unexpected messages go back and check the SAS

cabling carefully.

If this does not resolve the problem, refer to Troubleshooting (page 29) for further guidelines.
