Basic Troubleshooting
The following table contains descriptions and solutions for common problems
encountered with the Oracle MICROS Tablet 720.

Tablet will not power up.
Battery is fully discharged.
Battery is in a state of failure.

Charge the battery.
Replace battery with a fully

If this does not work, order a
replacement tablet.
The back of the tablet gets
warm when charging.

Tablet not in sleep mode

Ensure the power settings
allow the tablet to sleep while
charging. This prevents
warm casework and reduces
the time required to fully
charge the battery.
Battery will not charge.

Troubleshooting the Barcode Scanner
Use the OPOS Validation Utility to ensure the Barcode Scanner is working correctly.

For Microsoft Windows 8.1, go to the Apps list on the Start Menu, and then tap
OPOS Validation Utility
.
For Microsoft Windows 10, go to the Apps list on the Start Menu, tap Honeywell,
and then tap OPOS Validation Utility.

In the Scanner section, select Honeywell from the Device Name drop-down list.
