UMX-MC6
Switching card with 2 input channels
and 6 output zones
b) INSTALATIONS WITH AMPLIFIERS SURVEILLANCE AND BACKUP AMPLIFIER
b1) The amplifier connected to
CHANNEL I
is used as a MUSIC/BACKUP amplifier
and the amplifier connected to
CHANNEL II
as the PAGING amplifier.
Music is sent through
CHANNEL
I
to all zones. When a message
is sent to a zone, the music
stops in that zone and the
message sounds. In the rest of
the zones, the music program
continues to play.
If a fault occurs in the paging
amplifier, the music amplifier
also performs the paging
amplifier functions. In this case,
when a message is sent, the
music stops in all zones and the
message sounds in the selected
zone.
b2) The amplifier connected to
CHANNEL I
is used as a
MUSIC/PAGING amplifier
and the amplifier connected to
CHANNEL II
as the BACKUP
amplifier.
This option allows to assign a
single backup amplifier to
multiple amplifiers using various
UMX-MC6 cards.
Music and announcements are
sent through the
CHANNEL I
.
When you send a message to a
zone, the music stops in all
zones that share the UMX-MC6
card and the message is sent to
the selected zone.
If an amplifier fails, the back-up
amplifier takes its place, so both
the music and the
announcements will remain
operative.
