UMX-LNK
Audio link card for modular master matrix
(COMPACT or UMX-03/0)
R + D Department
1.
INTRODUCTION
Audio link card between modular master audio matrix (COMPACT or UMX-03/0) and its corresponding slave matrices (COMPACT-E
and IF-7P4/0E for COMPACT system, or UMX-03/0E and IF-8P4/0E for OPTIMAX2 system).
The card is inserted into the master audio matrix and allows linking 4 audio channels (music or announcements) and an emergency
channel between matrices using RJ45 connectors. Whenever a UMX-LNK card is inserted and configured in a COMPACT or UMX-
03/0, both the internal audio bus of the matrix and the audio bus between matrices is restricted to 4 audio channels (music or
announcements) and 1 emergency channel.
Allows to use a ring topology between audio matrices. In this way, in the event that the physical connection in the ring is
interrupted, the audio can continue flowing through the ring (see diagram 1).
In addition, the audio link is monitored, showing an alarm through the PA management software in case of connection failure.
It occupies one slot on the bus of a modular audio matrix.
