Interesting facts about juice
General
This manual and its instructions on how to make juice focus
on the taste, quality and flavour of the juice produced.
But apart from its health benefits juice also gives you the
tickling enjoyment of taste.
Juice contains 95% of the nutrients contained in fruit and veg-
etables. If made from fresh fruit and vegetables, juice is a sub-
stantial element of a wellbalanced diet. Freshly pressed fruit
and vegetable juices are an easily tapped source of vitamins
and minerals. Since the nutritive contents of juice very rapidly
go into the blood they are the fastest way of feeding nour-
ishment to your body.
lt you make the juice yourself, you have the added benefit of
being able to decide what is in it. Once you have selected your
favourite fruit or vegetable or any mixture of different kinds,
you are also free to add sugar, salt or other flavouring.

Cleaning
• The lid, pusher and juice receptacle can be cleaned in hot
water with some washing-up liquid added.
• The stainless steel filter is best cleaned under running water
using a washing-up brush. Hold the filter at its edge and
move the brush from the centre of the filter towards its
edge. Be careful not to damage the filter.
Tip
To make the stainless steel filter easier to clean, immerse it in
hot washing-up water for about 10 minutes immediately after
use.
• Wipe the base with a damp cloth.
• After cleaning, allow all parts to perfectly dry before you
reassemble the appliance.
Stains
Food with a persistent own colour, e.g. carrots, may leave
colours stains on the plastic parts of the juicer. This will not
generally affect the operability of the unit, thought.
• The best method of preventing stains is to clean the juicer
and all its parts immediately after use.
• Use cooking oil to remove smaller stains.
Some liquid with bleaching agent is a good means of removing
existing stains. Contact a specialised dealer to obtain bleach-
ing agent.
1. Add about 2 tablespoons of bleaching agent to litre of
water.
2. Immerse the plastic parts in the bleach for max. 5 minutes.
3. Rinse the parts under running water and leave to dry.
Note
- Read the manufacturer’s instructions on the package
of bleaching agent.
- Do not immerse the stainless steel filter in the
bleach.
