3 Using the equipment
3.1 Before starting up

Mount the handle (pos.2 at spare part list) to the sand-spreader. Fix the handle with
screws and nuts.

Lubricate the machine before starting to use it. There are two grease nipples (one
on each bearing chamber).
3.2 Adjustment of spreading quantity
The pressure of the rubber flap against the roller regulates the quantity of spreading
material.

The pressure of spring-loaded plate against the rubber flap is to be adjusted so as to
achieve the desired spreading density by the weakest possible pressure against the
spreading roller. Therefore you decrease the wear of the rubber flap. If the rubber flap is
worn it can reversed.
The material in the spreader can be emptied by putting the lever at the side of the bucket
towards ” - ” until a slot appears between the rubberflap and the roller (the lever has to be
put outside the toothed scale).
The emptying of the bucket is more efficient if the spreading roller is rotating.
