How to Read

46X has “handheld” witch starts reading by pressing trigger switch, and “hands-free” which reads
target code by placing it in front of the scanner. Details are described as follows.
Handheld
2.5.1
The scanner read target code by acquiring the image. Reading starts by triggering, with green aiming
as a guide, normally reads around 50 mm from the front edge of scanner.
Hands-Free
2.5.2
When installing the scanner to dedicated stand STD-46, automatically shifts to auto trigger operation
by magnet switch. Normally reads by holding target code to around 50 mm from front edge of the
scanner. When removed from stand, the scanner can be use as handheld.
