Operator Manual
OPEX Corporation
4.1. Overview
CertainScan software supports a variety of scanning environments. Operator
interaction depends on configured Jobs and Page types. This chapter explains
types of jobs, operator interaction with Page Types, and using CertainScan.
4.2. Structured and Unstructured Jobs
A Job configured as Structured requires the operator to scan Page Types in
order. For example, when running a structured job, CertainScan requires the
operator to scan a batch ticket first, then a stub, then a check, and/or another
item, and finally an envelope to signify the end of the set. If a Page Type is
scanned out of sequence, CertainScan will alert the operator.
A Job configured as Unstructured can have Page Types scanned in any
sequence. The only restriction is that the boundary, in most cases an
envelope, must be scanned. The boundary indicates the current set is
complete, and the next set will begin.
