Components).
•
Choose the RESET LAMP button.

Lamp Life Settings menu.
Cleaning
•
Do not use industrial degreasers or strong solvents such as brake cleaners.
•
Do not override safety features during maintenance / cleaning.
•
When cleaning the reflective tray liner, do not use abrasives, they will reduce the
reflectivity. For difficult to clean areas, soak the entire liner in a mild detergent.
•
Outside: BioShift
®
unit can be cleaned with a damp towel. Strong solvents or
detergents are not recommended. A typical household cleaning solvent is
recommended.
•
Inside: Clean inside chamber walls with ethanol (reagent grade) and a soft towel.
Be careful not to spray or apply chemicals directly on the UV-C lamps. This may
result in total lamp destruction.
UVC Dose Verification
It is imporatant to regularly verify the UVC dose output of the BioShift unit to ensure
proper disinfection. Every 50 cycles or once per month, whichever comes first, the
operater shall verify that the UVC dose exceeds a minimum of 100 mJ/cm
2
in a short
programmed test cycle. With an empty chamber, place a card (below) at the center of
the shelf face-up. On the touchscreen display, select the “100 mJ/cm
2
Dose Test” button
to start a test cycle. Upon completion of the test cycle, the operator will evaluate the
color development of the center circle. If the center color matches or exceeds the 100
mJ/cm
2
region, the unit has passed the test. If the color doesn’t match or exceed 100 mJ/
cm
2
, all the lamps in the unit must be replaced. 100 mJ/cm
2
test cards are available from
Once.
Note: Do not use dose verification as a disinfection cycle.
