DISINFECTION
(After The Last Treatment Of The Day)
Below are two different methods of disinfecting the nebulizer.
Either of these methods may be used, however, it is only necessary
to use one of these methods daily.
A. VINEGAR METHOD
1. Mix one (1) part white vinegar to three (3) parts distilled
water (enough to submerge nebulizer and mouthpiece or mask).
2. Complete RINSING Steps 1-4.
3. Wash nebulizer, mouthpiece or mask in warm water and a
mild detergent and then rinse in hot tap water, or wash
in the dishwasher.
4. Submerge parts in the vinegar and water solution
for thirty minutes.
5. Complete RINSING Steps 5-7.
B. MEDICAL DISINFECTANT METHOD
IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU CONSULT YOUR
PHYSICIAN OR RESPIRATORY THERAPIST REGARDING
USE OF MEDICAL DISINFECTANT CLEANERS AND
CAREFULLY FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS SUPPLIED BY
THE MANUFACTURER.
