INTRODUCTION
This User's Manual describes the installation and operation of the Poll-Safe - Model PS635. The
information presented here is provided to assist in the installation and use of the PS635 and is subject to
change without notice.

GENERAL OPERATING FEATURES
The PS635 is a versatile data recording device designed for collection, storage and transfer of phone-
related call records or other types of record-oriented data. Features include:

Power protection/watchdog circuitry

Battery backup of data storage memory

Optional 2400 baud internal modem.

Flash ROM storage of all configuration settings and programming information

Flash ROM firmware upgradable via modem
The PS635 is designed for flexibility and ease of use. LEDs on the PS635 front panel allow for quick
determination of PS635 status such as data activity, data percentage full, modem activity, alarm status
and power status. Connections for input, output, modem and power are located on the rear panel of the
PS635. Two banks of DIP switches on the underside of the PS635 allow for configuration of input and
output port communication settings as well as operational settings.
