Setting into Operation
The SMS-250 true condenser microphone set was designed for professional studio recording and live
applications. The microphones operate on 48 V phantom power.

Balanced XLR output
Maintenance and service operations are only to be carried out by authorized dealers. Damage,
caused by manual modifications on these devices are not subject to warranty. If the microphones are
used for other purposes than originally intended or if they are not correctly connected, the products
may suffer damages and the guarantee becomes void.
Protect the devices against humidity and heat. The ambient temperature must always be between -5°
C and +45° C. The relative humidity must not exceed 50 % with an ambient temperature of 45° C.

Screw the shock mounts on your microphone stand and insert the microphones from above.
Connect the microphones via balanced microphone cables with 3-pin XLR plugs to the XRL
microphone inputs equipped with +48 V phantom power of your audio unit (e.g. mixing console).
Each of the microphones is equipped with a switchable high pass filter and input attenuation.
Set the lower switch to ” ” to activate the filter and attenuate low frequencies. Set the upper switch to
"-10 dB” to attenuate the sensitivity by 10 dB.
For voice recordings, use the supplied windshields to protect the capsules from moisture.

elect the desired microphone capsules and screw them onto the microphone bodies.
For cleaning the microphones only use a soft lint-free and moistened cloth.
Place the supplied small bag containing moisture-absorbing crystals on top of the microphone head
afterwards. Make sure not to allow any water to enter the devices and never use any solvent
cleansers.
