6. CONNECTIONS
6.1 Speakers
DANGER TO LIFE!
High voltage at terminals when using PA systems. Installation by skilled personnel only! Turn off
amplifier before connecting.
Either PA speakers or 4
speakers or speaker groups with a total impedance of at least 4
can be
connected.
1. Connect PA speakers to the terminals COM (negative pole) and 25 V/ 50V/ 70V or 100V (positive pole).
The total load must not exceed 50 W RMS, otherwise the amplifier may be damaged by overload.
2. Connect
4 speakers to the terminals COM (negative pole) and 4 (positive pole).
3.
When connecting, observe the correct polarity (positive and negative connections). The positive
connection of the speakers cables is always specially marked.
6.2 Microphones and devices with line level
You can connect three microphones via 6.3 mm jacks the microphone inputs MIC PRIORITY, MIC 2, and
AUX/MIC 3 on the front panel. For connecting an audio device with line level the input AUX/MIC 3 can be
switched to line level with the input selector switch AUX/MIC 3.
6.3 Connection with the mains
Finally, use the supplied power cable to connect the amplifier to the mains (230 V AC, 50 Hz ~). The unit can
also be operated with 115 V AC, 60 Hz ~. For this purpose, set the voltage selector switch to the position
115 V. The occupation of the connection cables is as follows:
Cable
Pin
International
Brown
Live
L
Blue
Neutral
N
Yellow/Green Earth
The earth has to be connected! If the device will be directly connected with the local power supply network, a
disconnection switch with a minimum opening of 3 mm at every pole has to be included in the permanent
electrical installation. The device must only be connected with an electric installation carried out in
compliance with the IEC standards. The electric installation must be equipped with a Residual Current
Device (RCD) with a maximum fault current of 30 mA.
6.4 Emergency power supply
For continuous operation of the amplifier in case of a possible mains failure, a 12 V rechargeable battery can
be connected to the terminals DC 12 V. In case of a mains failure the power switch is out of function. To
switch on the amplifier, use the emergency power switch DC SW.
