Audio Sources
As signal source, microphones, music instruments and audio units with line level (e.g. portable MP3 player,
CD player, laptop) can be connected.
1
Connect microphones to the balanced XLR jacks of the channels 1 to 4.
2
Connect audio units with line level output to the 6.3 mm jacks or the RCA inputs. The 6.3 mm jacks are
designed for balanced signals. However, it is also possible to connect sources with unbalanced signals.
• Connect units with mono output (e.g. instrument preamplifiers) to the mono inputs of the channels 1 to
5.
• Connect units with stereo output (e.g. keyboard, CD player or laptop) to the stereo inputs of the
channels 5 to 8.
In each channel 1 to 4 either use the XLR input or the 6.3 mm jack input and in each channel 5 and 6
either the 6.3 mm jack input or the RCA input.
Speakers, Recording Unit and Monitor Speakers
1
Connect the left speaker output and the right speaker output SPEAKER OUT (6.3 mm jacks) to the
speaker systems with the speaker cables supplied. The minimum acceptable impedance for each
output is 4 Ω.
2
The RCA output REC OUT allows connection of a recording unit. The recording level is independent of
the position of the master level control.
3
If a monitoring system is available, connect the amplifier of the monitoring system or the active monitor
speakers to the stereo output MONITOR OUT (6.3 mm jacks).
