GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
The system and installation must comply with all state and local laws
and regulations.
Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of
unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the
system.
System conforms to NSF/ANSI 42 for the specific performance claims
as verified and substantiated by test data.

NOTICES
•
Install this filter on a cold water line only. Use in ambient temper-
atures of between 35° and 100°F (2°-38°C) and with water tem-
peratures between 35° and 100°F (2° - 38°C). Water pressure
maximum is 125 psi (862 kPa).
•
Protect the unit from direct sunlight and freezing temperatures.
•
Do not use pipe dope or similar compounds. They can ruin plas-
tic. Use Teflon™ tape to seal pipe thread joints.
•
Intended for indoor, non-commercial use only.
•
For extended periods of non-use turn the water off and remove
the filter cartridge. Place the cartridge in a plastic bag, seal it,
and refrigerate it.
•
Safety glasses must be worn during installation.
•
This unit is not designed to filter sulfur (rotten egg odor). Use
of carbon filters to treat sulfur may intensify taste and odor
problems.
•
Before using the water, flush the new filter for 30 minutes.
•
Run drinking or cooking water for 10 seconds prior to collecting
the water for use.
•
The contaminants effected by this filtering system are not neces-
sarily present in your water.
•
This filter is not a water purifier and is not intended for use with
contaminated water.
•
Comply with all state and local laws regarding the installation of
water treatment devices.
•
Use only OMNI filter cartridges with this housing, or warranty is
void.
•

When to change the filter cartridge
The GACI-SS Series A Cartridge should be changed after 2,000
gallons of water use or every 6 months (whichever comes first).

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Choose and Mark Location:
1.Choose a location and position the filter housing bracket on the
wall of the cabinet nearest the cold water line beneath the sink.
Leave a 3” minimum clearance between the bottom of the filter
housing and the floor of the cabinet. See Figure 1.
2. Mark the bracket slots on the wall, drill a hole at each of the two
marks, and insert the mounting screws. Leave each screw head
1/4” out from the wall. Install the filter assembly onto the
mounting screws.
3. Locate and turn off the cold water inlet valve.
4. Put a pan under the cold water valve and disconnect the cold
water pipe or tubing from the inlet valve. See Figure 2.
