Maximum Capacities for the Food Mixer

Short crust pastry

400g flour

Fruit cake mix

1.5kg total mix

Stiff bread dough

600g flour

Soft bread dough

500g flour

Egg whites

Speed Switch
The speed switch can be set from 1 to 8; the speed increases from 1 to 8.

0: Off

1: lowest speed

8: highest speed

The belows are general guide only and may vary depending upon the quantity of mix in the bowl and the
ingredients being mixed.

Beater

Creaming fat and sugar – start on “Low”, gradually increasing to a higher speed.

Beating eggs into creamed mixtures – “Mid” to “High” speed.

Folding in flour, fruit etc. – “Low” speed.

All in one cakes – start on “Low”, gradually increase to “High”

Rubbing fat into flour – “Low” to 2 steps higher.

Whisk

Start on “Low”, gradually increase to “High” speed.

Dough Hook

Start on “Low”, gradually increase to one step higher.

Turn the speed switch to the off
positon, re-plug the mixer, wait
a few seconds and then restart.

The mixer is overloaded

Turn the speed switch to the off
positon, remove half the dough,
cool down the machine for 30
minutes and do each half
separately.
