CONTROLS

THERMOSTAT CONTROL KNOB:

The Thermostat Control Knob (on the left hand side) is used to control the room temperature. Start with the knob
turned fully anti-clockwise (minimum temperature setting). If this setting is lower than the ambient room
temperature, the fan will stay off, no heat will be generated and the oscillation will not work (this Standby mode
is indicated by the heater working indicator being turned off). To get the heater working, turn the knob clockwise
until the indicator light turns red. At this point the fan will start running, the element will start to produce heat (if

set) and the heater will begin to oscillate (if turned on). The heater will continue to run until the thermostat
reaches the set temperature, at which point the indicator will turn off & the heater will go back into the standby
mode.

Generally, the best way of setting the correct room temperature is as follows:

a)

Set the Thermostat Control Knob to maximum.

b)

Allow the room to heat up to the desired temperature.

c)

Adjust the control knob anti-clockwise until the indicator turns off.

d)

Adjust the control knob clockwise until the indicator turns back on & leave it there.

The heater elements and fan will now turn off and on automatically, maintaining the room temperature you
have set.  To increase or reduce this temperature, the thermostat control should be adjusted accordingly.

FUNCTION SELECT SWITCH:

The Function Select Switch (on the right hand side) is used to select the heater functions. Note that the thermostat
must be set higher than the ambient temperature for the functions to operate.

a)

Off: Turning the switch fully clockwise turns the appliance off. Power will still be supplied to the appliance but
no functions will work and the heater running indicator will be off.

b)

* (Fan only): Turn the switch one position clockwise to turn on the fan. The indicator will turn on, but no heat
will be generated.

c)

I (Low Heat): Turn the switch two positions clockwise to run the appliance at low power (1000W).

d)

II (High Heat): Turn the switch to the last position clockwise to run the appliance at high power (2000W).

Note: Never use the control knob to turn the appliance off – always turn off at the main power switch.

OSCILLATION SWITCH

The oscillation switch is at the top front of the appliance. This can be turned on or off before running the appliance
or after it has started.
