Confirm that the power switch is set to “ (ON)”. If the power switch is not set to “
(ON)”, open the slide cover of this instrument, set the power switch to “ (ON)” and
close the slide cover.

Turn ON the surgical microscope used in combination with this instrument by referring
to its instruction manual. This turns this instrument ON and lights up the illumination
lamp. Now confirm that the power indicator of this instrument lights green. (See
Figure 4.3)
NOTE
The spare lamp lighting indicator lights momentarily when this instrument is turned
ON. This is not malfunction.

Confirm that no error is displayed on the observation monitor screen or the touch
panel of the surgical microscope.
