7 Troubleshooting

Common problems

LOW BATTERY.
PLEASE CONNECT TO THE AC 

ADAPTER OR TURN OFF THE 

POWER.

Battery voltage is low.

Stop all image recording, copy, and delete operation, SD card format 

operations, etc., and immediately replace the battery. Or you connect 
the AC adapter.

BATTERY TEMPERATURE IS HIGH.
PLEASE TURN OFF THE POWER.

Battery temperature up, self-check function activated. 

Turn off the power.

BATTERY COMMUNICATION 
ERROR.
PLEASE TURN OFF THE POWER.

Battery cannot communicate properly due to poor contact.

Check whether the battery terminal is dirty.

If the problem persists, replace the battery.

Problem

Cause and recommended action

The tip protection hood cannot 
be fitted to the insertion tube.

A foreign object is stuck to the screws.

Wipe with a clean piece of gauze or a cotton swab.

The installation procedure is not correct.

Reinstall using the correct procedure ("Replacing the Tip Protection Hood" (P. 34)).

The system cannot be turned 
on.

The AC adapter or the battery is not connected.

Connect the AC adapter or the battery correctly. (See "Preparing the power 
supply" (P. 12).)

The Power button is not on.

Turn on the main unit POWER button (

).

A non-designated AC adapter or battery is connected.

Use the designated AC adapter or battery.

The system cannot be turned 
off.

The main unit is damaged.

Remove the AC adapter or the battery from the main unit to turn off the power.

The battery cannot be charged.

An error has occurred during battery charging.

Clean the battery terminal and perform charging again.
If the battery gets hot, allow it to cool down and perform charging again.

If the problem persists, replace the battery.

Illumination does not light.

Touch the [LIGHT] button to turn on the light. (The light may be faulty if it does 
not light up.)

The illumination is dim.

The front of the light is dirty.

Wipe with a clean piece of gauze or a cotton swab.

The automatic brightness control is set erroneously.

Use the [BRT] button to adjust the setting to the appropriate level.

The image is not sharp.

The front of the objective lens is dirty.

Wipe with a clean piece of gauze or a cotton swab.

Color reproduction is poor.

The white balance is set improperly.

Re-adjust white balance.

The image is noisy.

The automatic brightness control is set erroneously.

Use the [BRT] button to adjust the setting to the appropriate level.
