Inspect the instrument as described in “Pre-operation preparation and inspection” (page 22). If
there are any obvious malfunctions, do not use the instrument and contact Olympus for repairs.
If a slightest irregularity is suspected, do not use the instrument and perform the actions
described in “Troubleshooting guide” (page 91). If the problem cannot be resolved by taking
the remedial action described, stop using the instrument and contact Olympus for repair.
