Figure 2-7 Probe holder assembly parts

Wing screw

The wing screw mounted on the bracket allows for an easy positioning of the
probe holder along the frame bar section (see Figure 2-7 on page 26).

Bracket

The standard bracket is an L-shaped part. Depending on the position of the probe
holder on the frame bar section, the wing screw can be on the left side of the probe
holder or on the right side (see Figure 2-8 on page 27).

Use the optional pivoting probe holder bracket (part number: OPTX0717) when
the configuration of the HSMT-Flex scanner requires probe holders outside the
frame, on pipe diameters smaller than 305 mm (12 in.) [see Figure 2-5 on page 24].

Spring-loaded arm (SLA)

The spring-loaded arm is designed to hold the yoke and to ensure a constant
contact pressure between the probe-wedge assembly and the surface being
inspected (see Figure 2-7 on page 26).
