When using an outer cylinder (C1/C2)

Measure the thickness of the door leaf and shorten the catch using a pair of pliers at one of the break-

ing points provided so that, when assembled, maximally 7 mm remains in the base plate. Guide the

covering escutcheon over the outer cylinder (C1) and first slide the unit together with the catch through

the outside of the door. Then screw in the two screws (C2) supplied from the inside of the door.

Slide the lock case (1) on the base plate (2) and fix it in place with the two screws (3) at the side.

The door lock unit must then be assembled on the door frame. Use the spacer base plate (5) to mark

the 6 drill holes. Ensure you maintain the correct clearance from locks already installed. Then drill

the holes using a 3 mm drill bit to a depth of approx. 10 mm and fix the spacer base plate to the

frame using the 6 respective screws (6).

Use the frame dowel (7) for fixation in the wall. Drill the hole for the dowel at an angle through the spac

-

er base plate of the lock case using a 10 mm drill. Insert the dowel and screw in the screw firmly.

Fit the additional spacer plates (8) on the spacer base plate as necessary and fix the strike plate (9)

on it using the two screws (10).

Finally, fix the lock case (11) using the two screws (12) and complete a test locking operation.

Assembly material

General Assembly Information

Determine the thickness of the door. Normally, an apartment or house entrance door is 40 to 70 mm

thick. To use the optional outer cylinder, the door must be at least 30 mm thick. The door leaf on which

the lock is to be installed as well as the frames must close properly and there must be no large gap.
Prior to assembly, check whether the door is hinged on the right or left.
The additional door lock is preassembled for doors hinged on the left. If you want to assemble the

additional door lock on a door hinged on the right, complete the following steps before beginning with

the assembly work:

Lock unit: Release the base plate (2) from the lock case (1) by loosening the 2 screws (3) at the side.

Remove the latch from inside of the lock case by loosening the two retaining screws, turn it 180° on

its longitudinal axis and install it in the lock case (1) again. Replace the base plate (2) and screw it tight.

Check the locking function.

: Release the lock case (11). Remove the door guard (13) with retaining bolt (14) by remov

-

ing the cotter pin (16) and install it in hole opposite. Replace the lock case (11) and screw it tight.

Plan the height of the additional door lock so that all users can reach the knob without any problem.

Otherwise, we recommend an installation height of 130 cm.

Installation

First of all, hold the door lock unit and door lock unit at the planned assembly positions on the door.

Both parts should be level and be at a height that the latch in the lock case can engage smoothly in

the opening in the lock unit. If you notice a difference in the height, compensate for it by inserting

the additional spacer plates (8) supplied under the strike plate (9). Then set the lock case to one side.

Separate the Base plate (2) from the lock case (1) by removing the two screws (3) at the side.

Position the drilling aid supplied (according to the side of the hinge) and mark the four drill holes.

Pay attention that the drilling aid is flush with the edge of the door. Drill the four holes, carefully,

using a 3 mm wood drill bit to a maximum depth of 15 mm. Use a depth stop or mark the depth on

the drill bit with adhesive tape.

When using an outer cylinder (C1/C2)

Firstly, drill a hole fully through the door leaf exactly in the middle of the circle of the drilling aid. To

ensure the outside of the door leaf does not crack, use the hole cutter firstly from the inside (approx. to

halfway through the door leaf) and then from the outside. Alternatively, fix a small piece of wood to the

outside of the door with two clamps.

Fix the base plate (2) to the inside of the door using the screws (4) supplied. Before tightening the

screws to their final torque, hold the lock case against the door leaf a few times to check the edges

are flush with the edge of the door.
