In the event of a problem, use the information on the following pages first to try and
identify it and implement the solutions proposed.
The phone does not ring or only rings quietly�
Check whether the switch for the ringing tone volume at the side of the phone base is
set to
OFF
or
LO
. If necessary, set the switch for the ringing tone volume to
HI
.
I cannot hear a dialling tone�
Check that all the telephone cables are connected properly (refer to Section
Connect-
ing the Telephone on Page 31
).
Some services do not work on the phone�
Ensure that your telephone connection is set-up for the corresponding services. Please
contact your network operator for more details.
The phone display is difficult to read or icons hard to recognise.
Adjust the display contrast in the menu. Further information is provided in Section
Con-
trast on Page 33
.
It is possible that the batteries inserted are empty.
Insert new AAA cell batteries in the phone. Pay attention the batteries are inserted ac-
cording to the necessary polarity.
The phone display is a liquid crystal display. It reacts sensitively to extreme temperature
fluctuations. Only use the phone within the permissible ambient conditions.
