Important Functions Available on the Phone
This chapter provides information on the most important functions on the phone.
Setting the Time and Date
Set the date and time before using the phone for the first time.

Navigate to the
SET 1 DATE
menu.

Press the
key.

Press the or key to select the current year.

Press the
key to confirm the selection.

Repeat steps 2 and 3 to set the current month, day, hour and minute.
Setting Up the Display
You can setup the display for the phone.
Contrast
You can adjust the display contrast setting to suit your individual needs:

Navigate to the
SET 7 LCD
menu.

Press the
key. The display indicates the current contrast setting.

Use the or key to select the setting you require.

Press the
key to confirm the selection.
Back-lighting
The display back-lighting is switched on when you receive a call, dial a phone number
or press any key on the phone. The display back-lighting goes out when no key on the
phone is pressed for 6 seconds.
The back-lighting only works when the batteries have been inserted properly.
Adjusting the Volume
You can select the volume of the ringing tone for incoming calls:

Set the
Ringtone volume
switch to
OFF
,
LO
(low) or
HI
(high) as required.
Using Redialling
You can redial the last phone number called directly.

Lift the receiver.

Press the
key. The last number dialled is redialled.
