TRANSISTORS AND TEMPCO RESISTORS

Transistor orientation is vital.

Check   that  their   curved  and   flat  sides  match   those  of  the   PCB
silkscreen transistor’s outline.

The tempco resistors must be touching the top of the transistor
pairs to be thermally coupled with them and work as intended.

 If

you   have   thermal   paste   on   hand,   apply   a   tiny   bit   between   the
transistor pairs and the tempcos before soldering. Finally, make
sure   that   the   tempco’s   leads   are   not   touching   the   transistor’s
leads.

ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITORS

Polarity is vital.

Check (and double check) that the capacitor’s short leg (

-

) points to

the white semicircle on the PCB silkscreen capacitor’s outline.

Solder them flush with the board.

POWER HEADER

Orientation is vital.

Make sure that the notch on the power header (yellow line in the
picture) aligns with the drawing on the PCB silkscreen, facing the
inside of the board as shown.
