Appendix I

OKIFAX 5750/5950 TROUBLESHOOTING MANUAL

1.

General

This manual shall be used to identify the failure cause when a failure of the board is detected
as a result of recovery through board replacement, etc. Therefore, the solder failure, pattern
failure, part mounting failure are excluded.

2.

Tools

The following tools are recommended for board analysis:

(1) Oscillator:

At a frequency of 100 MHz or higher

(2) Soldering iron:

15 to 20 W for IC replacement. A soldering iron with a higher capacity
should be better for the power supply pattern, etc.

(3) Extension cable: See Extension cable list in Chapter 7.
