EN-2 ORP electrodes
Performing ORP measurement:
1. After removing the electrode from the
storage solution bottles, rinse the ORP
electrode with pure water before
measurement; dip the ORP electrode into the
sample.
2. Connect the ORP electrode to the pH
meter, set the meter at mV measurement
mode.
3. If the ORP electrode is refillable (STORP2),
slide down the red cover to expose the filling
hole when measurement, remember to close
it after measurement to avoid leakage.
4. After measurement, rinse the ORP
electrode with pure water and store back in
the small protection bottle with soaking
solution.
ORP electrode quality check:
To check if the ORP electrode quality is good:
1. Prepare 2 standard buffers solutions for
ORP: Saturated quinhydrone pH4.01 and
pH7.00.
2. Dip the ORP electrode into buffer 7.00, the
mV value should be
86mV ± 15mV
.
3. After rinsing in pure water, dip the ORP
electrode into buffer 4.01, the difference
between 7.00 and 4.01 should be
≥ 165mV.
4. If the check result is not good, should
clean the ORP electrode then check again; or
purchase a new one.
