3.3.1 Separating the Top and Bottom Housings
Common hand tools are sufficient to disassemble the Ranger 3000 and Ranger Count 3000
scales. Turn the scale off and unplug the power cord before you begin.
1. Lift off the Weighing Pan.
2. Turn the scale over. Remove the eight screws holding the Housing in place.
(See Figure 3-1.)
3. Move the top housing a little bit
backward and then raise and remove
the top housing.
4. Separate Top Housing from Bottom
Housing. Avoid straining the cables
that connect the Main PCB to the
parts in the Bottom Housing. (Lay
the two housings close to each
other, so cable is not strained.)
