Operating conditions of the sensor

Sensor usage conditions:

The quality of the sensor is influenced by the water quality, in particular the precipitation of
iron,  high  chlorine  or  brine  concentrations  and  growing  bacterial  cultures  and  must  be  re-
placed at the latest when the sensor alarm is signaled.

Required water conditions:

-

natural raw water with a hardness value of 0.18 mmol/l to 10.8 mmol/l

-

water temperature: 5..30 ° C

-

pH range: 5 ... 9 pH

-

chlorine content: <500 µg / l

-

germ content: <5,000 CFU / ml

The  water  must  be  free  from  acids,  alkalis,  salt solutions  (brine),  tensides,  fats,  oils,
solvents and heavy metals.

11.3.

Sensor connection/sensor replacement

1.

Disconnect the plug-in power supply unit from the mains or interrupt the power supp-
ly

2.

Disconnect the sensor cable from the used sensor (when changing the sensor)

3.

Press down the pressure ring on the T-piece of the flow measuring chamber in which
the sensor is located and at the same time pull the used sensor straight out of the flow
measuring chamber. (when changing sensors)

4.

Take the new sensor out of the folding box and pull it straight out of the protective tu-
be.

Do not touch or damage the sensor tip!

5.

Press the new sensor firmly into the T-piece of the flow chamber. Sensor included
insert straight to prevent contact with the pipe wall.
By  pulling  on  the  sensor,  the  firm  and  pressure-proof  seat  in  the  T-piece  can  be
checked.

6.

Plug the sensor cable onto the sensor (observe polarity reversal protection on the plug)

The sensor cable must click into place audibly and tangibly.

7.

Reconnect the plug-in power supply to the mains or switch on the power supply. The
device checks the sensor plug connection when it is restarted and displays an alarm if
the sensor is  not  recognized.  In this case, the device must be switched off again  and
the plug connection to the sensor checked for contact security.

8.

The  sensor  change  is  complete  when  the  device  detects  the  new  sensor  and  resumes
measuring operation.
