Trouble Shooting 

 

Electric power can cause severe injuries. All symptoms of faulty electric 
components to be taken seriously and possible causes for accidents to 
be eliminated immediately. All repair work only to be carried out by 
qualified service personnel. During maintenance/repair work, disconnect 
machine from power source.

Only original OERTZEN spare parts/accessories to be used, otherwise 
working safety will not be guaranteed, EC Declaration of Conformity will 
expire. 
 

 

Malfunction Cause 

Remedy 

Motor does not start. 

- Motor protection switch not pressed. 
- Machine not connected to power  
  source. 
- Fuse burnt. 
 
- Phase missing in plug. 
 
- Faulty motor protection switch. 
- Insufficient water supply 
  (applicable if SCS system is installed). 

- Press motor protection switch. 
- Insert plug into socket, activate main 
  switch. 
- Replace fuse. If burning again, call  
  qualified service. 
- Mount phase according to eletric wiring 
  diagram. 
- Call qualified service. 
- Guarantee sufficient water supply. 

Motor suddenly trips, motor protection 
switch stops machine. 

- Poor water supply 
 
- Fuse burnt. 
  (Phase missing). 
 
- Low voltage. 
 
- Faulty motor protection switch. 
- High operating pressure. 
 

- Eliminate cause, restart machine. 
 
- Replace fuse. If burning again, or motor  
  gives noise, call qualified service. 
 
- Guarantee correct voltage. 
 
- Kundendienst rufen. 
- Clean/replace nozzle 
  (see Technical Data) 

Motor gives noise. 

- Fuse burnt. 
  (Phase missing). 
 
- Malfunction in electric network 

- Replace fuse. If burning again, call  
  qualified service. 
 
- Check phases in plug. 

Operating pressure not achieved/varies

   Open pressure regulating handle and  
   pistol unless continuous pressure is  
   achieved. 
- Too small water supply hose.

- Replace nozzle.  
- Install correct nozzle 
- Remove/clean nozzle 
- Clean water filter 
- Call qualified service 
- Tighten hose clamps on suction hose. 
 
- Remove/clean valves. 

High pressure hose and pistol vibrating 

- Air in unit 

- Bleed unit. 
   Open pressure regulating handle and  
   pistol unless continuous pressure is  
   achieved.
