Gas pedal
Press the gas pedal down to increase
engine speed. Spring pressure returns
the pedal to the rest position when
released. Always check that the gas
pedal returns normally before starting
the engine.
1. Accelerator pedal
Before starting the engine, check the
gas pedal to be sure it is operating
correctly. Make sure the gas pedal fully
returns to the idle position as soon as it is
released.

POTENTIAL HAZARD
Malfunction of the accelerator pedal.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
The accelerator pedal could be hard to
operate, making it difficult to speed up or
slow down then you need to. This could
cause an accident, injury, or death.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
Check the operation of the gas pedal
before you start the engine. If it does
not work smoothly, check for the cause.
Correct the problem before operating
the vehicle. Consult your dealer if you
can’t find or solve the problem yourself.
