Use with epilator head
Make sure that the power switch is set to 0. Start the lady shaver by pressing
the lock button and pushing the switch up to speed 1 or 2. Speed 1 is
recommended for fine, thin hairs and speed 2 for coarser hairs.
Angle the epilator head to 90° against the skin. Stretch the skin with your
free hand to reduce any discomfort. Move the epilator in short, rapid sweeping
movements against the direction of hair growth. Note that the epilator must
be held at right angles. If you press the epilator too hard, it will slow down and
work less efficiently.
Epilating armpits and bikini line
Be extra careful when epilating the armpits or bikini line, as the skin is
particularly sensitive in these areas. Lift your arm above your head when
epilating the armpits to make them easier to get to. If the hair is long, trim it
first with scissors before using the epilator.
Stretch the skin with your free hand while epilating and remember to hold the
epilator at right angles to the skin. If your skin becomes irritated, apply a little
talc or a mild lotion and wait 24 hours before using perfume or deodorant
under your arms.
Cleaning and maintenance – after each use
Clean the appliance after each use. Ensure that the lady shaver is turned off.
The casing can be cleaned with a damp cloth and a little detergent. Cleaning
these parts regularly prolongs the efficiency and service life of the epilator.
Cleaning the epilator unit
Remove the epilator head from the main unit by pressing the release button on
the rear of the appliance and lifting it up. Use the cleaning brush to remove any
hair on and between the tweezers/discs. Turn the tweezers manually to gain
full access. Replace the epilator head on the main unit by pressing the fitting
the notches on the underside to the equivalent holes in the main unit. Replace
the safety cover after cleaning.
To remove impurities from the tweezers, dip the cleaning brush regularly in
disinfectant (available from pharmacies). Be careful not to put too much on the
brush.
Cleaning the shaving head
Remove the shaver head from the main unit by pressing the
release button on the rear of the appliance. Pull the white foil
and trimmer unit off the shaver head and rinse with water.
Clean the shaving head in the same way. If necessary, you can
also use the brush to remove any hairs that are stuck. Replace
the foil and trimmer unit in the shaving head and then on the
main unit. Replace the safety cover after cleaning.
